"The excellent maneuverability of cross-country motorcycles in obstacle terrain mainly depends on the engine." The "Tan Daqing (Municipal) Skill Master Studio" of Chongqing Industrial Vocational and Technical College was commissioned by Chongqing Like Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. to develop high-performance Two-stroke engine. The project was led by studio host Tan Daqing, including teachers Shu Qipeng, Yu Zongning, Liu Mingdong, Chen Yizhen and students Shu Jie, Liu Kunlin and more than 20 people. It took 8 months of intense research and development and "finally achieved the most important breakthrough".
According to reports, the engine uses a large number of new materials such as titanium alloy and carbon fiber, which reduces the weight of the engine while improving efficiency, solves the problems of low power and high energy consumption of domestic engines on the market, and greatly improves the performance of the vehicle. The research and development results have applied for more than 10 national patents. It is expected that the full functional test of the product prototype will be completed by the end of 2022, and the product will be finalized and mass produced in early 2023.
